COACH FELIPE

My name is Felipe Martins, and I’ve been a professional soccer player for the last 14 years, previously with DC United, Austin FC, and currently represent Orlando City in Major League Soccer. My career in the midfield has spanned five countries and eight teams where I’ve made over 400 appearances as a pro, which gives me unrivaled experience and knowledge to pass along to the next generation of soccer players.

Throughout my career, I’ve demonstrated my ability on the field and my fierce competitive mentality that sets me apart from other players. FM8 Private Training is a full training service aimed at bettering young players technically while also fortifying their mental strength to compete at the highest level.

My dream is to give back to this sport that gave me everything. Growing up, I had a dream and a soccer ball. At ten years old, I left my home to pursue this dream with a backpack and a lot of will and belief to achieve my dream. And it was not easy.

I’ve sacrificed many things in the process, but I’ve also gained many good things, including the ability to fight and never surrender — no matter what.

The pain and tears throughout the years by myself around the world made me the man I am today. I’m thankful to my beautiful wife and my two kids for always supporting me no matter what. Twenty years later, I’m trying to give back to the kids that dream to be where I am and go much farther than they’ve imagined.

My job today is to help them see the reality of the world of soccer, not how everyone thinks it is. It is an everyday challenge to put in the work and be the best version of yourself — talent is not enough.

My goal is to help you be better, think better, and see soccer from a different perspective. With my experience, knowledge of the game, and passion, I provide professional training that helps determined youth understand that soccer is more than a sport. It’s a lifestyle, and to get to the highest level, requires commitment and dedication to working hard every day.
